Venture Play is looking for a Research Analyst to help build our clients’ brands. We want someone with integrity, attention to detail, and, above all else, an entrepreneurial approach to problem solving. The candidate should have marketing expertise in the food, health and personal care space. As a member of Venture’s Strategy community, you will contribute by researching, proposing, and writing clear, well-written and compelling insights, in the development of research reports, brand strategies and marketing communications plans.
As a member of Venture Play`s strategy community, you will work with colleagues and clients to:
Conduct market research in the development of brand strategies and marketing and communications plans for large and small entrepreneurial companies and organizations
Prepare and verify industry and client data reports in support of ongoing activities for clients or within the agency
Write first drafts of clear, succinct briefs to guide marketing campaigns and creative platforms
Work with client managers to provide ongoing insights for the benefit of the agency and our clients
Work with strategists and other analysts to set goals and objectives for client campaigns, and to assess messaging and campaign performance
Remain current on marketing strategy innovations, particularly in the areas of food, health and personal care, to ensure our clients stay ahead of their competition
Conduct media monitoring and research
Required skills and experience:
We are looking for applicants with strong skills and enthusiasm, and a desire to learn, grow, and add value to our team. Applicants should have 1-3 years experience as an analysts with either a marketing agency or a company within the food, health or personal care space.
A high aptitude to conduct research related to marketing and communications strategy, including new digital marketing tools
Strong analytical, strategic, and research abilities
Excellent communications and listening skills
Strong writing skills, with a high attention to detail
Comfort presenting your ideas to senior colleagues
A collaborative and engaging demeanor, with a willingness to share ideas, assist others, and accept feedback from agency leaders and clients
A knack for multi-tasking in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
Completion of a post-secondary arts, business, marketing, or communications-related degree
French language fluency is considered an asset
