Media Coordinator Intern

We are currently looking to add a Media Coordinator Intern to our growing team. This is an junior role, responsible for assisting on the Media team with buying, planning, executing, managing, and reporting on multi-platform campaigns for a variety of clients, reporting to the Director of Media.

Primary responsibilities will be contributing to the media team, which includes planners, buyers and project managers. The team manages all aspect of media management including planning campaigns and media mixes, researching media trends, and buying all media including SEM, online display, mobile, social, programmatic, native, audio and video, radio, television, newspaper, OOH and transit. Secondary responsibilities will include researching media trends and assisting with presentations and internal processes and documentation. The successful candidate a high attention to detail and the ability to manage a variety of projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate will be working towards a degree in (or recently completed) marketing, communications, media, PR, accounting, or similar and be interested in furthering their experience in the field of digital media.

This role is for immediate hire and Is a FT temporary internship for up to 3 months. Hours are 9-5p, Monday through Friday. Role is a remote position (until September 1, 2022). Duration of internship is flexible and open to discussion/negotiation. Hours are FT but are also flexible and open to discussion.

Core Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with the planning, buying, managing, trafficking and optimizing display, mobile, video/audio, social and SEM campaigns.

  • Undertake learning and assisting with traditional media planning, buying, and management on an as-needed basis (OOH, TV, Radio, Print, DMs, etc.)

  • Perform ongoing campaign monitoring.

  • Campaign analysis and reporting, in concert with a team of analysts.

  • Help organize internal media documents and prepare media presentations.

  • Support the media team with media vendor relations (compiling media kits and rate cards).

  • Perform in-depth, ongoing media research on the media landscape and trends, and provide periodic analysis of media opportunities for clients

  • Contract/invoice checking, budget reconciliations, and spend/ROI reporting

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 0-2 years experience in a related industry.

  • A degree (or partial degree) in communications, marketing, media, accounting or similar.

  • Knowledge of media buying an asset.

  • Knowledge of Google Analytics and Adwords an asset.

  • Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint.

  • Ability to multitask and manage various projects simultaneously.

  • High attention to detail and proofreading skills.

  • Marketing research skills and experience.

  • Budget management and reconciliation.

  • Ability to self-manage and work as part of team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Understanding of marketing analytics and terminology.

  • Demonstrated success meeting deadlines while handling a variety of concurrent projects and assignments, with exceptional time management skills

  • Experience with e-commerce campaigns and the CPG segment considered assets
