District Ventures is looking for a Market Research Analyst to help build our clients’ brands. We want someone with integrity, attention to detail, and, above all else, an entrepreneurial approach to problem-solving. As a member of District Venture’s Strategy community, you will contribute by researching, proposing, and writing clear, well-written and compelling insights, into the development of brand strategies and marketing communications plans.

Responsibilities include:

As a member of District Venture’s strategy community, you will work with colleagues and clients to:

  • Conduct market research in the development of brand strategies and marketing and communications plans for large and small entrepreneurial companies and organizations

  • Prepare and verify industry and client data reports in support of ongoing activities for clients or within the agency

  • Write first drafts of clear, succinct briefs to guide marketing campaigns and creative platforms

  • Work with client managers to provide ongoing brand leadership for our clients

  • Work with strategists to set goals and objectives for client campaigns, and to assess campaign performance

  • Remain current on marketing strategy innovations, to ensure our clients stay ahead of their competition

  • Work with 3rd party research firms to conduct brand and market research for clients

  • Comfortable presenting to clients as well as colleagues

  • Conduct media monitoring and research

Required skills and experience:

We are looking for applicants with strong skills and enthusiasm, and a desire to learn, grow and add value to our team.

  • A high aptitude to learn all aspects of research related to marketing and communications strategy, including new digital marketing tools

  • Exceptional analytical, strategic, and research abilities

  • Excellent communications and listening skills

  • Superior writing skills, with high attention to detail

  • Comfort presenting your ideas to senior colleagues

  • A collaborative and engaging demeanour, with a willingness to share ideas, assist others and accept feedback from agency leaders and clients

  • A knack for success and multi-tasking in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment

  • Completion of a post-secondary arts, business, marketing, or communications-related degree

  • French language fluency is considered an asset

  • Agency experience is considered an asset

  • Familiarity with the CPG and health marketing landscape is considered an asset.
