The Alberta Bottle Depot (ABCRC) was already doing a good job when we joined forces. Alberta’s return rates are great, Depot awareness is high, and it’s hard to find someone who’d admit to being against recycling—especially when it means you get your money back. But, even if something is good, there’s always better. And beyond better is extraordinary.
A RECYCLING VARIETY SHOW
Depot Adventure Time takes the ordinary—trips to the Depot, individual beverage containers, average Albertans, etc.—and makes it extraordinary! It’s home to a family of content, each member given license to be an individual, while remaining inextricably linked to the rest. Every segment has its own characters and story to tell, but they all belong to and bolster each other. You know, like a variety show. But about recycling.
BOARD GAME BILLBOARDS
City commuters and newcomers on road trips were served billboards of iconic Albertan landscapes as board games.
RETRO DIGITAL ADS
Internet enthusiasts and online students were met with made-for-digital 8-bit banner ads.
Carpoolers and podcast nuts were treated to understated radio spots that really made a statement.
